My husband and I stayed here for an overnight getaway and it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and the room was gorgeous. The morning breakfast was delicious. A very magical experience.

Warm and intimate. Each room is unique, the food is all handmade and fresh with food delivery trucks coming everyday. During rush hours the inn shields the guest from the sound of speeding cars typically not adhering to 25 mile an hour speed limit. Inside and on the porch or the dock all the hustle and bustle melts into the quiet serenity you might be looking for with your special someone. This place is meant for memories, The chef waits for you to rise in the morning before she starts cooking you breakfast. This is wonderful for those out there that hate re-heated pancakes, french toast, or any other breakfast foods. You don't even need to order in the morning since upon checking in you are given the menu and the options to choose from. Very simple! Wake up, sit down, food is served no questions asked! Of course changing your mind is also possible, but knowing what you want is the best way to get it. In each room there is cable, ac, and all the require toiletries you would expect. This is the first I've been to where there is an obligatory bible present on the night stand or closet( something I expect from large mega chain hotels). Most important thing of all is that this place is small. The staff actually act like people and not like the drones you might have to interact with in mega hotel. Now this doesn't mean there isn't a sense in professionalism involved in their daily routine but at least you can talk with them and get honest recommendations about places to see and other food options in the area. Cheers to your stay here!

I was lucky enough to spend my birthday weekend here and had a wonderful time. Clare was great upon check-in and very helpful with recommendations, information and was very friendly. We stayed in room 4.... which was very nice. There were some nice soaps left out on the bed for my birthday- which was a really nice touch. The rooms are small... but decorated very nicely and had a sweet, cozy feel. Who cares about the size of the room because you don't spend much time in there anyway! The room and bathroom were very clean. The screened-in porch was perfect! We spent every night relaxing out on it with a bottle of wine. It was a great view of the river. Very pretty. The grounds were very nicely decorated. The fountain in the back of the property is very pretty. The view of the bridge and river are picturesque. There is a great floating dock out on the river... where we enjoyed a glass of wine. At 7:30pm (weather permitting) there is a small bonfire which was a really cute touch! Sherry is served every evening as well. There is always fruit-infused water available downstairs. We were very impressed with the breakfast. I don't understand how people can complain about it. The specials they offer are the way to go. Both mornings... the fruit special was great! The specials were always unique (which we loved)... and were really good. The servers were all super friendly and chatty (in a good way). Milford is a quick walk across the bridge which was nice. There is a good deli with tons of stuff. There is a small pantry with a fridge and ice buckets, wine glasses, snacks, etc. Staying there is definitely not cheap... but when you are planning a getaway or special occasion... I go with the 'spare no expense' approach : ) We felt very comfortable and had a great time. We are coming back for sure!!!

My husband and I had our wedding weekend at the gorgeous Bridgeton House. Diane, the event planner at the inn, help us with all the details prior to and during the special day. Everything was very smooth. The in-house chef made delicious food for us the entire weekend. When everyone arrived there was tea and treats laid out. The breakfast was served downstairs each morning. The reception dinner was held in the penthouse over looking the river. We had the ceremony by the boat house facing the water and the gravel path comfortable sat all of our 32 guests. It was my dream wedding and all of the guests were very impressed with the whole experience. I can't wait to stay at the Bridgeton House for our one year anniversary!

This place is great! My wife and I came here for our 10th wedding anniversary and stayed in the Boathouse. It is quite expensive but I felt that it was totally worth it. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were greeted by one of the inn keepers, Claire, who was energetic and nice. She made our arrival feel special. Claire showed us to our room and explained the amenities of the place very efficiently. In our suite we found some nice touches including a personalized welcome card/package. I liked that it felt very personal as opposed to other places where they could care less who you are or what your name was. The suite of rooms that we stayed in is fabulous. It is just beautiful, very romantic and serene. Opening the door in the bedroom or the living room both reveal an amazing, private view of the Delaware river. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. In the suite is a large bathroom with shower, a kitchen (which includes some snacks and drinks for you, a refrigerator, coffee maker, tea maker, nice things), a living room with a large whirlpool tub and fireplace and a large bedroom. in the living room and bedroom are iPod/iPhone docks for listening to music, a nice touch). On our second day we returned to the suite to find that the staff had come to our room and turned down our bed, a service that you must request, but this was done without our request which I thought was very nice. They left us mints on a plate with a card containing our name. I loved the little personal touches. Other than Claire, I apologize for forgetting everyone else's name but everyone is so very friendly in this place. In the morning time we went to the dining room for breakfast and I thought that the food was so very good, one of the best parts of our stay! The chef is very inventive and comes up with some cool things for breakfast. In the evenings, tea is served in the dining room along with sheri complimentary for guests. Just such a neat place, quaint and quiet. It is very close to these neat historic towns that are within walking distance if you don't want to drive. The only suggestions I could make to improve this place is that the wifi which was available on the property was very weak in the Boathouse causing us to use our cellular data while utilizing our phones for researching places to go and listening to internet radio. Also the television in the bedroom was about 25 years old and definitely needs to be updated to a digital TV as in the area there are music stations being broadcast on digital channels which only a digital TV can pick up (also a TV Channel Lineup should be provided as I had to search the internet, figure out which cable provider they used and guess to find out which network was which). Overall, we loved it and would return.

If you are from NY and looking to get away for a few days and just simply unwind a bit, this is a ultra quaint super cozy B&B directly on the Delaware river in PA. The room that I stayed in was super clean and very nicely appointed. The view on the screened in balcony was that of the delaware river and made for a very relaxing night. There's tea and Sherry at high noon and in the morning there's a community breakfast using local ingredients, very good breakfast that I had. Another nice thing about the place is that it is only about a 20 minute drive to New Hope PA and about 2 minutes to Frenchtown N.J. a good spot to get away to.
